Mumbai, April 9th, 2010: Rib tickling comedy show Sajan Re Jhoot Maat Bolo narrates the roller coaster journey of Apoorva’s (Sumeet Raghavan) life. Apoorva is an orphan who has lied to his boss Dhirubhai Jhaveri (Tiku Taslania) in Mauritius to get a job. Further Apoorva falls for Arti-who is Dhirubhai’s niece and through series of lies ends up happily marrying the love of his life.
Till now Apoorva and his so called family always managed to save themselves and never get caught but, this time as destiny decides to take a twist and play its cards against him one incident after the other ensues, from Pankaj almost getting caught while pretending to be a doctor to the police inspector visiting the house in search of a thief –prime suspect being Paresh. The countless cover ups and the series of issues keep Apoorva occupied.

By the time he realizes that something is amiss, the damage has been done. Dhirubhai (Tiku Talsania) decides to take the family’s holi celebration CD to show his friend in Baroda. Not realising it’s the wrong CD, Raju by mistake gives the CD that contains audition video of the person who played Bade Bhaiya in the first few days and later ran away for a movie break. Dhirubhai tricks the same actor and brings him in front of the entire family. Apoorva is caught red handed for all the lies, his never-ending excuses and is left speechless.

Apoorva aka Sumeet Raghavan, says, “I enjoyed playing my character in the show, but I must tell you, one can never live in the shadow of lies, some day or the other the truth prevails. It is ok to tell white lies to secure one from certain difficult situations but not always.”
